The mission of the Department is to create and impart the knowledge of Geology from nadir to zenith through proper guiding, training and offering all the value-added requirements that one needs for sustainable development. We build our students to grasp and safely manage the Earth and its exquisite resources for generations.
The Department seeks to afford the highest level of education, continuous revision and expansion of our educational, research and outreach programmes to produce well-- educated, competent, academic and professional geologists capable of responding to societal needs. To nurture and develop the students to their optimum potential and empower them to have a fruitful employment in the society. The department intends to be nationally recognised by preparing its pupils to compete in academic and extra-curricular activities.
