The opening up of self-financed, two year B.Ed course is a notable achievement of Government College, Sundargarh. The course started in the year 2017 with an intake capacity of 50 students which has come as a boon for the student community at large. The Department of Teacher Education is affiliated to Sambalpur University, Sambalpur and 2 year B.Ed. course is recognised by NCTE, New Delhi. The Department has an excellent infrastructure including spacious classrooms, seminar library, multipurpose hall, well equipped curriculum laboratory, conference hall and comfortable staff room, indoor and outdoor games facility, gymnasium, canteen, drinking water, Art gallery Uninterrupted Power Supply, own Diesel Generator set, internet, Wi-Fi, photocopier, phone etc. The entire Department is under CCTV surveillance. The Fire Safety measure has been taken in the entire building.
