The department of sociology aims at training students to critically analyses the social environment in which they live and become self-aware and responsible citizen. The department offers undergraduate courses and organize seminar, group discussion and interactive sessions. Department is following the CBCS syllabus with a timely mid- term and end – term examination system. Students are also engaged NCC, NSS, Swachh campus drive and competition and take leadership role in the society.
To empower the youth of this tribal dominated region through inclusive quality education with ethical and philanthropic values in conformity with the motto of the institution ‘Enter here to learn, go forth to serve. We envision a world where everyone possesses the skills to question and understand the social influences that shape the human experiences, with the aim of creating a more just society.
