The Department of Mathematics at Government College, Sundargarh, is dedicated to fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. Established with the vision of promoting excellence in mathematical education, the department offers undergraduate programs that provide a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied mathematics.

Courses Offered:
• B.Sc. Mathematics (Honors): A 3-year undergraduate program focused on core areas such as algebra, calculus, geometry, and statistics. The course also includes applications in computer science, physics, and engineering.
• M.Sc. Mathematics: A 2-year Postgraduate program focused on a comprehensive foundation in various mathematical disciplines, which includes Algebra, Linear Algebra, Real and Complex Analysis, Partial and Ordinary Differential Equations, Probability, Linear Programming Problems, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, MATLAB and Numerical Analysis to prepare prepare graduates for diverse careers in academia, industry, finance, research, and advanced studies in mathematics
